HINDU COUNCIL OF KENYA PLEDGES A CLASSROOM AT THE PROPOSED PEACE PRIMARY SCHOOL

Hello fellow journey men, sorry I couldn't be on Citizen breakfast this morning as had earlier been planned but it was due to unavoidable circumstances.
However, I and my team at the Pillar of Hope would like to thank the Hindu Council of Kenya for their generous pledge to construct one complete class room at the proposed Peace Primary School in Moyale, which is the main focus of my peace walk from Mombasa to Moyale.
Their pledge is worth 1.5million shillings and I pray that Allah be with them. I look forward to more kind donations and pledges from you fellow countrymen, so that together.....we can make this a resounding success. Thank you the Hindu Council of Kenya. God bless you.

Staff at the Pillar of Hope has been busy these past few days working on the logistics that will be put in place to assist Jaffer Isaak Sora on his epic trek across the Nation. Proposals have been written, potential sponsors identified, guests to be invited for the flag-off identified, promotional material is in the works, letters are being dispatched....... oh, the list seems endless. But it has all been exiting and the adrenalin is pumping as we count down the days. Watch this space as we keep on updating you on any new developments

THE GREAT WALK, MOMBASA TO MOYALE

It is said that when you need something done, its better you do it yourself. We want peace, equality and better lives to each and every Kenyan. Motivated by the thirst for this, we are doing a record 1,400KM walk from the city of Mombasa, down to Moyale. Take note that its a Charity walk so we are literally walking lead on the ground by non other than our Principal
Jaffer Isaak Sora  who is ready and willing to do ANYTHING it will take to make this country a better place. It has never been done before but through your help, prayer, support and contribution, its going to be done.

BE READY, ON 6TH OF MAY, 2012 WE ARE CAMPAIGNING FOR PEACE FROM MOMBASA TO MOYALE.

THE PILLAR OF HOPE, HOPE IS FINALLY HERE

The PILLAR OF HOPE is a non profit making organisation whose main objective is to raise funds through different activities in order to help alleviate poverty and hunger in this country. It also seeks to educate Kenyans on the need to live in peace and harmony so as to be able to achieve these objectives. This it does through mass sensitization of the people and engaging them in discourse that unifies them as a Nation. In order to achieve this, Kenyans have to be given equal opportunities in education, trade, businesses etc. Schools and colleges have to be built in all parts of the country, for how would you expect a child born in moyale to compete with a child born in Kisumu? How far does a child in Moyale have to travel before he sees his first university in comparison to a child in Kisumu? How then would you expect fair competition if the child in Moyale is already handicapped even before the race starts.
